Audio Theater Applauded by US Congressperson

Imagine the wonderful surprise when I arrived at my local community radio station to pick up a copy of a call-in interview that was recorded in promotion of the live show, and I discovered that during the course of the pandemic, for I had not really visited the station since the pandemic began, the audio theater group had received a special piece of mail. It was a card addressed to Nutmeg Junction Audio Theater c/o WAPJ Community Radio.

The card held a wonderful message from Congressperson Jahana Hayes. It stated “

“Dear Mr. Quirk

I am writing to express my gratitude for your unwavering commitment to making a positive contribution to your community, supporting local actors and bringing some local fun into people’s homes. Your efforts in writing and producing Nutmeg Junction bring added value to our district and this dedication does not go unnoticed. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if my office can be of assistance. I’m proud to represent you in Congress.

Sincerely, Jahana Hayes”

This correspondence was a wonderful note that I was able to share with the Nutmeg Junction/Barnaby Druthers team (Barnaby Druthers is a series created from Nutmeg Junction which is why you will often hear “Nutmeg Junction presents: Barnaby Druthers” in the credits).

We are humbled and grateful to the acknowledgement of our volunteer work in creating the show.
